The Common Criteria are an international standard for assessing the security properties of an IT product. This set of requirements assesses hardware, software, firewalls and servers. The purpose of the assessment is to provide a level of security whereby a device or software manages data securely and does not contain anything that could compromise its integrity. Each level of evaluation guarantee requires progressively more detailed information on the design and testing of the device or software evaluated. Note that the classification system is replaced by collaborative protection profiles, which have been designed for specific technologies and specify the requirements indicated in the security objective, as well as warranty activities for these requirements.
f5 load balancer certification also offers a selected set of platforms that include one that supports a Layer 2 implementation for the generation, use and protection of cryptographic keys. Keys generated or imported into an integrated are not removable in plain text format. Hardware peripherals with built-in have a sealed epoxy cover which, if removed, will make the card useless and keys inaccessible
